The Jewish House is a true example of "people helping people". At Jewish House we don't just say our motto, we are our motto.

The Jewish House is a safe haven open to any member of the public in need. We assist in a wide range of circumstances, ranging from someone requiring a counselling session to someone requiring a bed and a roof over their head. Whatever the case is, when a person is in need of help and on the edge of despair, the Jewish House is there to provide food, shelter, counselling, jobs searching and a 24/7 crisis line.The Jewish House is a leader in crisis management. Its caring approach, whereby a number of services are combined in a unique way for each client, is admired by many organisations and its approach has ensured a very high success rate in assisting people to rebuild their lives after a major crisis.

Whether you are a client or a volunteer wondering how to help, you can be part of the Jewish House process of people helping people.

S.O.S - Students on the Streets

On Saturday night 16th June 2012, students from years 8-12 are invited to experience 1 night of homelessness. Sleeping out under the stars will enable them to sample what being homeless is all about and appreciate first-hand the challenges of being homeless. Our event allows the youth to experience this disadvantage in a covered and secure environment.

S.O.S. empowers our youth to make a difference to the silent sufferers amongst us.
To sleep out there is a small upfront registration fee of $20 with 100% of it going direct to the homeless.

So please start fundraising or sponsor a student to sleep out and raise funds so that we can help the homeless in our community.
